Looking Back on 2024:

Over the years, we’ve brought about hundreds (if not thousands) of success stories. This has lead to a really big number of fans who follow what we do with more loyalty and passion than the biggest e-sports fans. For that, we are grateful.

We’ve built some great traditions from 2012 to 2024, and this blog post is mostly intended for those who have been with us over the years.

I want to walk them — our biggest fans — through our latest changes to Squirrly SEO and to the roadmap and the way we announce updates.

Update Pack 1 – 8th Feb 2024 – details.

Update Pack 2 – 5th Mar 2024 – announcing integrations and changes to adapt systems for Next Level Marketing. – details.

Update Pack 3 – 15th Mar 2024 – details.

Notes: for some of these update packs, we used to transparently post them to Twitter/X using #SQROAD as our hashtag. We’d been doing that for many years… way before Elon Musk got his hands on Twitter and transformed it into a closed platform, where you need to be logged in to see any content. What our team (and our biggest fans) loved about this method was that everything was timestamped and placed on a third party that couldn’t be tempered with and edited after the news about a certain update broke out. It used to be very easy for anyone to search, and see, and save the tweets and gain 100% transparency into something that our company could not manipulate.

Sadly, those days are gone, because Twitter has changed into something else that doesn’t uphold such values anymore. We’ve made a switch to LinkedIN last year to try and do the same thing, but LinkedIN also decided to hide everything behind (login-walls).

So from now on, we’ll have the detailed stuff on our roadmap, where you can always go to the AISQ product you want to see details about. You’ll click to filter by done and then have everything displayed in chronological order.

These sorts of changes in 2024, have pushed us to actually use the Changelog section of our official roadmap to give bigger posts and more links to make information easier to find.

The roadmap will be the first place where we display changes officially. Then, info will appear on our blogs and social media.

This is a big change compared to how we’ve been doing things since 2016, but it was necessary. In 2012-2016 we mostly sent things via email only and did Live Launch Events for big versions of our products. Then, 2016-2024 we’ve invented the transparent system I’ve talked about and we’ve had a roadmap on Trello and then the one that became our current official one.

Also: important to know that in 2024, the Squirrly Company started re-branding to AISQ, in order to use our newly acquired AISQ.com domain name. AI Squirrly, to show our commitment to AI technologies, and also to use it to display our leadership in AI Marketing, as we’ve pioneered this field since 2010.

Update Pack 16 has brought a HUGE UX update to the plugin.

It’s been a really long year where we’ve worked on hundreds of items for Squirrly SEO: on the Cloud App, on the plugin, and on the micro-services that help us power everything we create. The biggest focus was in 2024 the micro-services. Something we’re still working on in 2025, because it’s a huge endeavour. (if you go to tab number 3 on this link, you’ll be able to learn more about how our proprietary technologies are structured and brought to life. We do a huge amount of innovation in-house)

more about Twitter: I wrote this back in 2011. It has always been true. If you look now at #SQROAD, it only shows history until 2023, which is very sad, for the big investment we’ve made to make everything search-able and trackable for our users. I guess I should have paid more attention to my own lesson.
