To create the 2021 Capterra Shortlist for SEO Software, Capterra analyzed all 305 products in their SEO software directory and eliminated products that didn’t meet their requirements for functionality and reviews.
Capterra Shortlist uses a precise scoring methodology driven by user ratings and the popularity of a product. Inclusion criteria include:
- Average overall recent user review star ratings;
- Average monthly search volume for product keywords;
- Product must achieve a minimum popularity score;
- At least 20 verified user reviews published within the last 24 months;
- Product must show evidence of offering required functionality.
